Shopper's Delight!:  Downtown Stillwater offers a HUGE selection of one-of-a-kind antique shops, boutiques, galleries, cafes, and bistros -- most are owner-operated, and many are still housed in historic ''turn-of-the-century'' brick buildings.

Historic churches, inns, and residential homes on the hillsides in autumn.

One of the many steamboats at the St. Croix Boat and Packet -- cruises available!

Many of the original brick buildings from Stillwater's heydays as a lumber town (1850s-1900s) are still standing and in use today by small owner-operated businesses.  Our Antiques is in the building at the left-hand side of this photo, under the green awning.

Save your feet some work (and drag the kids along) on a Trolley Tour!

Stillwater Stairs: Downtown Stillwater was built on hills (much like San Francisco) with the lowest level being Main Street and the St. Croix River. Did you know that Stillwater has historic stairs that you can climb for exercise, fun or the view. Our stairs include: Main Street Stairs, Chestnut Street Stairs, Pioneer Park Stairs, and Triangle Park Stairs. The Main Street stairs were built in 1875. The Stillwater Lumberman stated that, "In accordance with instructions from the city council, the street commissioner is constructing a new series of steps from Main Street to Broadway, near the Brewery of Wolf, Tanner & Co. The new ones are to be located about twenty feet from the brewery, making it much more pleasant for those who have occasion to travel up and down them."  : )
